LFP purchased documents from Yamhill County Court regarding two cases with Joel Turk as the defendant: 18CR53250 and 19CR58783. Today we are making them available online for free, but we're asking for your help. A financial contribution improves our ability to deliver quality journalism. It's going to take a while to read all 55 documents and write a story. If interviews or other research are necessary, community support is critical and would be greatly appreciated.

Court Documents

Please share our website with others, so they can download the files, too.

18CR53250 [ZIP, 4.4 MB], dismissed on September 30, 2019. One document was requested in particular, so you can view the State's Motion in Limine [PDF], but it doesn't reflect the whole case by any means. I will list all documents as I have time to update this page.

19CR58783 [ZIP, 2.4 MB], ongoing.

At some point, I will request documents again for the open case. The progress of court cases can be monitored with the Oregon Judicial Department's Online Records Search. Paste the case number, 19CR58783, and you'll be able to view important events and times.
